ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Janea D. Harris is an author, poet, speaker and community advocate who loves using creative writing to engage, inspire, and motivate readers. She enjoys writing for people in various seasons of life and is often inspired by currents events.
Janea is a 2021 nominee for the "Best of the Net," for her poem entitled, Urban Desert. She is the owner of Supherbooks, LLC and her published books include the newly released poetry book,"Poetry is My SupHER Power" (2023) and children's books including, "Through the Window of Winter the Rabbit" (2020) and "All Girls Have Sup-HER Powers, The Power of Voice" (2019).

When she is not writing, Janea loves spending time with her family partaking of the arts and volunteering with various community organizations on the North Shore of Chicago, IL. She is currently the Vice President of Board of The Art Center Highland Park, Co-President and a founding member of Insight Advocacy, serves on the boards of Reach Out and Read, IL, District 112 Foundation, Highland Park Poetry LIVE Events team and was appointed to the City of Highland Park's Human Relations Advisory Group.
